I'm trying to restrict myself to one of these 1952 Julius Shulman/Bank of America photosets per day
. This one's titled
"Job 1352: Bank of America (Los Angeles, Calif.)1952". This time the bank was on Florence Avenue at Holmes Avenue, and had a rather impressive roof sign. I also like the Hudson outside.
This is the view from Beach Street.
The Florencita Theatre, on the corner of Walnut Drive, is no longer there. As far as I can tell from Historic Aerials, it was demolished between 1980 and 1994. According to
cinematreasures.org, it had 575 seats.

The Florencita Theatre may have gone, but I found this attractively decorated pet store next to where it used to be.
