NYC on the hunt for developers with new vision for former NY Wheel site

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — New York City officials once touted a St. George site as the future home of the world’s largest ferris wheel, but on Monday, they started their search for something different.

The New York City Economic Development Corporation (EDC), headed by President and CEO Andrew Kimball, launched a request for proposals (RFP) that seeks to bring a recreation and entertainment center within walking distance of the St. George Ferry Terminal.
