York, Reading and Lancaster PA are basically sister satellite cities of philadelphia

It's funny how there can still be such a large office district so far from the rail stations of midtown. It must be a nuisance for people commuting there from upstate, Connecticut, etc.

^ the 4-5 trains run express from grand central to brooklyn bridge so that helps. it's doable if you live in larchmont/pelham/other parts of westchester but less manageable from greenwich/stamford etc.

The path train gets you to world trade center from newark, and are extremely full..I think many people transfer from nj transit to path

most of the true NJ and LI suburban commuters go to Penn station and fan out over midtown

but I agree downtown is not the easiest location, no wonder a lot of offices have converted to residential

I never knew Taipei was that big, as I always thought the whole Amsterdam was just along a part of canal, which was so wrong.

This somehow looks much more attractive than American sprawl.
