To Kwa Wan Photos

To Kwa Wan is one of the older districts in Hong Kong that is awaiting massive redevelopment. A new train line is expected to pass by here, while the neighbouring Kai Tak airport site should start to change hopefully soon.

This huge redevelopment now dwarfs the rest of the shorter and older buildings, and brings into question whether these skyscraper walls are desired in Hong Kong. Quite a lot of rumblings among the people these days, and we're making our voices heard.

Nice shots of an overlooked neighbourhood. I didn't make it to the artists' village last time but it will be one of my first stops when I'm in HK at the end of next month, especially since I'll be staying within walking distance in Hung Hom.

interesting thread... and i quite understand what u say about wheter they want those kind of building walls or not in HK, as you have a very tall density in HK, and those old buildings looks in a very bad state.
