Random observations:
- there are Fatburger decals covering the windows of their space in Golden Mile
- there was a semi backed up & unloading into the Booster Juice Golden Miles space
- the Sobeys Liquor at Southland appears close to starting finishing work. Drywalling is done, and all exterior work (except signs) is done.

They are starting to prep the space for the new Factory Optical beside the Swank Shoe Lounge in the Shops on Hamilton. Will that make it 3 optical/glasses stores in 2 blocks?

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it previously, but Jugo Juice will be opening in the near future in Hill Centre Tower I in the location that was once occupied by Harden & Huyse Chocolates (remember it?). This will be their first SK location.

In the former triangle spot that used to be mmmuffins. Right next to David’s Tea. I am guessing this will be freshiis second regina location with Cornwall being the first as it’s still open.

I agree. I don't recall there ever being a Jugo Juice in the Cornwall Centre.

It was during the 2000s, and it was over by Subway and Extreme Pita, not in the mmmuffins space

I had a peek in the door of the H&M store today. The permanent lighting has been working for several days, painting is done, mirrors are placed on columns, signage is in place for the elevator. (I must say, it is very bright inside). It appears that the construction work is very close to being complete, and then it will be turned over for the tenant improvements. All that needs to be done (from my quick view) is the floor grate in the outside entrance vestibule needs to be installed and an air vent cover above said vestibule needs to be installed. It's looking great!

They are renovating the old U.M. Inc space on Scarth (across from the new Treehouse)...does anyone know what is going in there?

Agreed. Although downtown retail has been improving in the last 10 years the last 30 years have seen major losses including:

Eaton's
Sears
The Galleria
and coinciding with the Cornwall Centre opening: Simpsons, Kresge, Woolworth, SAAN and more.

H&M will end up being the single largest retail draw that downtown has

Agreed. Also huge that Regina got H&M before Saskatoon. The draw will be major, which will also allow for more shops and other retailers to set up downtown utilizing H&M’s draw of customers.

Also that bright interior is what the Bay needs to do for its Regina location. The contrast will be huge until they get their shit together.

I peeked into the second floor of H&M and it looked a lot further along than the picture below implies. Lots of racks and fixtures are in. It looks like they are maybe a week away from bringing in inventory.

This will be a huge draw for young people.

When should we expect future development at the old Sears? There is so much potential for that corner of the mall, Im so anxious to know what will go there.

It'll be a while. After determining how much, if any, money they'll get from bankruptcy. Then they have to secure the tenant and in retail they can be signed very far out.

Cornwall Centre has announced that H&M will open March 29.

The new Laura Secord location is now officially open in the Cornwall Center.

It looks really good! Also will be nice to have an ice cream place option other than DQ.

Yup you are right, probably won't end up with a billion dollar net worth, but I am quite happy with what I've accomplished. I've made a ton of great business decisions. One was pulling most of my investments out of Regina and reinvesting where it makes sense. If you need some business advice, let me know! :)

They shifted where the skywalk joined the Cornwall to the RBC building and Laura Secord is across the hall that leads to the walkway (H&M is on the other side). I think it's right beside Telus.

You maybe don't realize it but you do sound a lot like a person who is bitter because of trying something somewhere and it didn't work out so you are blaming the location. Kind of like the person who quit their job to go work somewhere else because they didn't get the promotion they thought they would. Then all they do is bitch about the place they previously worked at as the worst place ever, meanwhile their new job is so much better than the last place.

And we get it, you are not fond of Regina or the things being posted about on this forum. I got a simple solution for you, don't come on the Regina forums, that way you won't be disappointed with the lack of exciting developments. Food for thought.

my wife and I coming down to Regina this weekend for some sports action....but, of course she will want to do some shopping too! Is Cornwall basically full of tenants as I am sure that is where she will go.

Yeah, if you could pick one place to go in the city, that would probably be the best. There are also surrounding shops near the mall.
