Great for homeowners who enjoy their privacy not to mention a slice of nature in the heart of the city but it's hard to find many good photos that can capture the true character of these hoods in an all encompassing way. Couple of green season bonus pics. Getting back to the point at hand IMO in and around the financial district Detroit gives me that gotham city NYC - Chi vibe. Obviously Detroit doesn't have the same size skyline just as Chicago's doesn't compare in size and scope to NYC I get the point your making though. A couple tall new towers in the center of downtown would help make for a better comparison too once the Hudsons & Monroe block developments are completed in a couple years Detroit's dense deco filled heart will be vibin' properly. https://cdn.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/KKGd...1003__1_.0.jpg[/QUOTE] https://detroit.eater.com/2019/9/4/2...ning-fall-2019 Quote:
Detroit doesn't seem to have the same kind of tourist driven professional photographic scene that many of its peers do a lot of the time i'll be surfing through development photos of a project i'm interested in then all of a sudden a completely different set will pop up i'll find myself pulling on that thread and end up surprising myself with what I come up with. haha Eastside skyline from Harbor Town https://static.trulia-cdn.com/pictur...0000000000.jpg trulia https://d126fxm3orgy3k.cloudfront.ne...48121107_1.jpg Hannah J Hoppough , Alexander Real Estate Detroit https://images.marketleader.com/Hous...1634256_07.jpg Saverio Montalto https://ap.rdcpix.com/cb2d327e0f3f40...0_h770_q80.jpg Realcomp Elton Park, Corktown https://images1.forrent.com/i2/-xRY3.../112/image.jpg Forrent Elton Park & Tiger Town https://images1.forrent.com/i2/r-0V3.../112/image.jpg Forrent https://image1.apartmentfinder.com/i...k-corktown.jpg https://images1.forrent.com/i2/yPD69.../112/image.jpg Forrent https://www.eltonparkcorktown.com/wp...m-trumbull.jpg Elton Park.com At first this development seemed to me like it was too disconnected from the rest of the neighborhood but once you get down to street level and explore a bit the blending isn't too bad at all for phase one. https://www.eltonparkcorktown.com/wp...on-checker.jpg Elton Park.com https://www.eltonparkcorktown.com/wp...t-building.jpg Elton Park.com https://www.eltonparkcorktown.com/wp...-row-homes.jpg Elton Park.com https://www.eltonparkcorktown.com/wp...ottava-via.jpg Elton Park.com https://www.eltonparkcorktown.com/wp...-breezeway.jpg Elton Park.com https://www.eltonparkcorktown.com/wp...cker-alley.jpg Elton Park.com https://www.eltonparkcorktown.com/wp...h-resident.jpg Elton Park.com |
Very impressed with Detroit. The city has come quite a ways.

It's been rewarding to see a number of really great projects come online at around the same time not just in greater downtown but in a number of the city's popular neighborhoods. What's been catching my eye lately has been the ever evolving vibe in the greater downtown area and adjacent neighborhoods like right here with northern & central portions of Brush Park being filled in with the City Modern development the skyline takes on a different ambiance.
Woodward Ave. frontage northern Brush Park awaits possible new development on the north side of the Bonstelle Theater a 12 story hotel is on hold while Roxbury figures out how or who to move forward with after the west elm brand ran into legal issues. https://d126fxm3orgy3k.cloudfront.ne...8615317_44.jpg Alexander Real Estate Detroit https://d126fxm3orgy3k.cloudfront.ne...8615317_38.jpg Alexander Real Estate Detroit Edmund Place north-central Brush Park https://d126fxm3orgy3k.cloudfront.ne...53861222_1.jpg Matt O'Laughlin , Alexander Real Estate Detroit, LLC The City Modern development is really nicely providing the kind of quality infill to aestheticly speaking properly tie up some loose ends & vacant areas in central and northwestern B.P. with the original Victorian character of the neighborhood with the monotonous plain Crosswinds townhomes. https://cdn.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/IMA5...9_Edit_1.0.jpg Next Door Photos Phase I of City Modern from the first half of 2019 filling out upper Brush Park. While patiently waiting for construction of the Brewster- Douglass redevelopment by Bedrock to begin there's definitely a certain satisfaction in watching the completion phase of agonizingly slow transformation of Brush Park from one of the most infamous symbols of Detroit's decay to a showcase of the revitalization. https://d126fxm3orgy3k.cloudfront.ne...48615317_2.jpg Alexander Real Estate Detroit https://www.gannett-cdn.com/presto/2...519_kpm__1.jpg Kimberly P. I would imagine the so far relatively mild winter has at the very least helped keep things on track of not speed things up especially with foundation work. The near lack of ice cover on the lakes is mirrored in the in the state of the muddy mostly unfrozen ground here in S.E. I still can't get over how much better the renovated Book Tower looks not only alone and part of the skyline but also to the vibe its environs.
https://alannastlaurent.com/wp-conte...rand-River.jpg Alana St Laurant One of my favorite shots from this angle hands down the Detroit & Windsors skylines are well framed and proportioned with the majority of each on the inside in relation to the Ambassador Bridge towers . https://alannastlaurent.com/wp-conte...unset-Edit.jpg Alana St Laurant |
