Gold Coast City - Australia
Gold Coast City - Queensland , Australia
A new city starts to spring to life 3km's west of Surfers Paradise on Queensland's Gold Coast . The area's population grows rapidly and is renamed Gold Coast City  http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c297/choppdat/GGC.png I promise to stick with this one :slob: |
I only have one shot just now :P.
Some of these buildings are from the other city but i'll give info . -From left, Wentworth Residencies - 60 fl - 190 M - 2001. GGC Police Headquaters - 12 fl - 52 M - 1992. Benowa Insurance - 52fl - 174 M - 2002 > Benowa is the area's original name. Bristol Insurance - 2003, South tower - 40fl - 110M North tower - 68fl - 220M http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...fffgggffff.jpg |
Lookin' Good:tup:
keep it up! |
Awesome! The glass looks so realistic.
|
I'm liking the whole realalistic modern look!
|

I like that your taking the modern realistic road on this one. I have no doubt that it'll look fantastic. Keep it up, and good work!
|
Yes it's very tempting to do something too futuristic :D
These noobs are unnamed http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...cccccccccc.jpg Not sure if i like the tall one  |
I think you can get away with it, but I wouldn't model any of your future buildings off of it. It's a bit of a stretch being what you want your city to look like, but like I said, it's not to the point where it looks too futuristic for the city.
Try to use buildings in L.A., Houston, Dallas, & Atlanta for your guides. |
I LOVE IT! This is great, keep it up!
And the tall tower looks awsome, keep it! |
I love it too. The buildings look awesome and I'm liking the futuristic feeling of the city. And yeah, L.A, and Dallas have some pretty modern slick buildings but you can also look at some Asian cities for inspiration like Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Chong Qing and a little of Beijing.
Can't wait to see this city grow; the tall building is o.k. but I feel like smaller ones can bring more attention to them. This one is plain and tall which is good for tall buildings(ex. SWFC, Freedom Tower, Burj Dubai). Maybe some antennas would make it look better of some kind of roof feature. |
This is awesome Mo! They are perfect. The Bristol Insurance towers are my favorite. The gold trim is unique and gives a more elegant modern feel. :)
|
so..what's in the building's reflections? is there soemthing you haven't showed yet? i think i see a building with a stepped design in the reflection of Bristol Insurance south tower. i could be wrong :P
edit: i also think i see a smokestack? maybe i'm just seeing things.... :koko: |
Fantastic renderings, though I do miss RX
|
I missed comments in my own thread ? :koko:
The mound in the reflection is just the hillside background - you'll see that later Thanks all  Not much new stuff - i've been busy modeling ground detail and stuff but here i have reduced Bristol insurance and Benowa Insurance buildings size and moved a few things and experimenting with a silver look on Bristol . I had lunch today with Bristol towers influence ' Aon tower' at Darling harbour-Sydney in full view, After a few oysters i had to restrain myself from trying to have sex with it  http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c297/choppdat/new.jpg |
The water looks like a river of mercury. So shiny and delicious.
|
Wonderful to see an update Mo. The buildings look beautiful, nicely done as always.
|
Dam you're too good at rendering Mo!! It all looks so awesome.
|
Woahah! I must know what rendering settings you use!
Incredible! Anthony |
You changed some colors. I'd like to see a little more density but it looks good now. And will you keep working on this city or pause it like last time?
