Work To Begin On Brightline’s Second Phase To Orlando
By TNM Staff on October 17, 2017 Construction is about to begin on Brightline’s second phase which will take it from West Palm Beach to Orlando. The company applied for a construction permit to begin work along State Road 528 in Orange County, where completely new track is being laid, according to the Orlando Business Journal. From West Palm Beach to Cocoa, the service will run along existing tracks owned by Florida East Coast Railway. According to a new incident report to the federal government, the company suffered a derailment in February en route to a maintenance facility shortly after their first train was delivered. The accident caused $408,000 in damage to the train. Since then All Aboard Florida straightened and realigned the curvature of the tracks where the incident occurred. https://www.thenextmiami.com/work-be...phase-orlando/ Brightline starts site work for $2B Orlando connection October 12, 2017 Orlando Business Journal Coral Gables-based All Aboard Florida on Oct. 11 applied for permit that would allow work to begin on Phase 2 of the Miami-to-Orlando passenger train. Construction already is under way on the Miami-to-West Palm Beach portion of the train system. The nearly $2 billion second phase of the project — which is expected to create 6,600 metro Orlando jobs and offer a boost to our local tourism market — includes an extension of the rail system from West Palm Beach to Orlando International Airport's $682 million Intermodal Terminal Facility. In Phase 2, the train will run along a converted freight rail line — owned by All Aboard's former sister company Florida East Coast Railroad — from West Palm Beach to Cocoa, where new tracks will be built parallel to the State Road 528 corridor. All Aboard is seeking the permit so it can begin construction of stormwater treatment swales along the rail corridor and modify existing stormwater ponds at the Dallas Boulevard toll plaza. The project also will involve installation of new fiber optic cable. Representatives from All Aboard Florida couldn't be reached for comment. However, construction on the Orlando segment of the 235-mile rail service is expected to start next year, Brightline CEO Dave Howard previously told Orlando Business Journal. The project is expected to be completed by 2020 or 2021. https://www.bizjournals.com/orlando/...b-orlando.html |

somebody tell me how to post this video please |
First find the URL of the youtube video, but cut out everything that isn't unique to that video URL
So this: https://youtu.be/cori9rNFtBo?list=LL...OQHNwbbzT0N55Q Becomes this cori9rNFtBo Then paste that in the Youtube brackets and you get this: Neat video, but all those women made it hard to get a good look at the trains. :( |
