Great transfomation, it remind me the transformation of the Northeastern Paris. (Even if it was never as bad as Harlem twenty years ago).

Looking at these pics, it reminds me of what will happen to parts of North Philly (especially around Temple University and Strawberry Mansion). It's going to completely change in the next ten years!!!

So yes, it can be done. There's plenty of fertile ground in US cities which could see similar changes. And if the price of gas continues its climb, I bet more sections of older cities will see folks moving back in and new development. Thanks for sharing your find.
