During mid 30-s to early '40 there was a huge thing for building new shopping centers (i guess that we can call them malls) to replace old markets. From 1936 to 1945 there were ~30 build all across the country. Sadly most of them were demolished in communism and the surviving ones were heavily modified, ruining the architecture.... 1937, CREMIN Corporation HQ, Bucharest, Romania. CREMIN was a romanian corporation activating in the oil, gas and mining (mostly gold) sectors.
