No offense to any San Antonians, but why is the downtown skyline so dismal?

San Antonio's downtown is very historical, it restores pretty much everything. It has beatuful historical skyscrapers. I wouldn't call it dismal! Maybe not the super modern, and it doesn't want to be.
Still the downtown area is one of the most lively ones in the country. Many major corporations have their offices in high rises outside the downtown area. |
