Thanks folks, and EE, you give me entirely too much credit. Both of these shots used my hoodie as a makeshift tripod and the auto-timer. I wasn't even touching the camera! Remember, I'm still playing and learning, same as you ;)

http://www.flickr.com/photos/2374332...28013/sizes/l/ I've been trying not to add construction photos, but I love the density in this next one... http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3150/...99f64127_b.jpg http://www.flickr.com/photos/billbur...16677/sizes/l/ |
Love tilt-shift photography, and really want to learn how to do it properly rather than faking it in Photoshop. Thanks for the posts, feepa, it's always nice to come into this thread.
I suppose I could also make a contribution. http://static.zooomr.com/images/7013...b2aaab81_b.jpg http://www.zooomr.com/photos/marceloilers/7013866/ http://static.zooomr.com/images/7013...9f3928ad_b.jpg http://www.zooomr.com/photos/marceloilers/7013860/ http://static.zooomr.com/images/6885...2b205f10_b.jpg http://www.zooomr.com/photos/marceloilers/6885227/ http://static.zooomr.com/images/6847...64714086_b.jpg http://www.zooomr.com/photos/marceloilers/6847435/ Photo credits to myself. Mind the watermarks on the HDR images, I only had a trial version of the Photomatix software. I know the downtown shot is a tad blurry, but it's always sorta stuck with me, I just like how it turned out overall. |
I absolutely love both bridge pictures. The LRT one is an angle we rarely see photographed too..

^ My grandfather used to work at this industrial building. At the time of construction completion, it was the tallest structure in Edmonton, so I'm told.
Is that the building off 127th street & Yellowhead roughly?
The grain terminal, yes, looks like.
The Walterdale Bridge picture...it looks like a toy set or model bridge...Very well done.
Yeah tilt-shift photography is awesome.
I can emulate it using Photoshop, but you can get lenses and develop techniques to do it without... |
Dude that is some amazing pictures. What tripod do you use?
Nice to see an area rarely photographed. |
^^ Sunpak Fieldmaster. Bought it a year ago or so from London Drugs for ~$50. It's nothing special, but is reasonably light and compact.
