The first few floors of the existing building have already been cleared out by the demolition crews. - In another 4 or 5 months it should be toast.

Demolition of the existing office building is underway as a condo with a similar floor plate waits to rise from it ashes.

I haven't been to Toronto since 2007 or 2008 (though I'd like to go back sometime soon). I just have a good eye. ;)

This one should be into excavation mode now.

What is happening at the Chaz? No updates since April 2012. They should be above ground by now.

As of a couple weeks ago it looked as though they were about to install the crane.

Above grade? not even close.

They are just about to pour the slab on grade, or so it looked like on Saturday. I'll take a look tonight and update the page.

Crane is going up now.

Just curious... where does the name Chaz come from? Reminds me of Chaz Bono.

Probably a play on Chas., common in the old days as a short-form for Charles. This condo is on Charles St.

Chaz on Charles, this one can be moved to the highrise construction section now.
