My hometown: Washington, PA
Here's the town I grew up in southwestern Pennsylvania, about 25 minutes south of Pittsburgh.

Very nice!
(but those fries with gravy are missing the cheese curds!) ;) |
Previously seen this fabulous photo tour at Metroscenes.com, I only can say a word: Amazing!
Thanks for taking and sharing so beautiful shots, Flash! By the way, I´ve liked a lot Washington, the Washington in Pennsilvania, or your hometown. It´s a lovely town surrounded by pretty landscapes. I´ve liked the downtown too, and of course the Ebenezer Covered Bridge. Congrats and greetings from Madrid, Spain. |
Nice! Have never seen or heard about this city before. And it seems it has a capitol building jus like the big Washington (DC).

Washington never looked so good!
One of Pittsburgh's best satellite cities right up there with Greensburg, Butler and Beaver, PA. |

no they aren't! that's the o.g. 'murica way, the way they are supposed to be served. your trendy canada pimping bs is just overkill :D |
I just looked up the population of Washington and was surprised to see it was under 14K. The downtown looks like one of a city many times that figure. Anyway, beautiful pictures.

WashPA!

Beautiful pics. Washington is an urban gem tucked away in the PA hills. As Austinlee noted, there are a bunch of those rascals around Pittsburgh. I'd love to buy that covered bridge and move it to Ithaca for one of the gorge crossings. Of course I'd change the name to "Old Geezer" bridge. ;)
Thanks for the tour Flash. |
Love the look of this place, fabulous!
|
a town for all seasons...
|
I need to check this city out next time in in PA!
|
Nice thread! Pennsylvania towns have such good bones.
