I spent nearly several days in Alberta in 1995, and one day's sightseeing took me from Irricana through Drumheller and beyond. The transition from prairie to badlands is stunning in its abruptness, and it's hard to imagine the how different the terrain becomes in such a short distance, without actually experiencing it. Drumheller looked almost like a set from and old Hollywood Western.

No, I haven't, however, I seem to recall a 'Badlands' thread in the Alberta forum where a few folks have posted their random shots. Perhaps I'll pick the best of the lot and post them in there sometime soon...

It is amazing. And actually, I have no source for this and I am too lazy to search, but I think more than a couple movies have been filmed in the Drumheller area to take advantage of its uniqueness.
