Those photos of Yili are magnificent—I almost did my senior thesis on the geography of Yili, but due to logistical issues I realized I wouldn’t be able to get there and ended up writing about a completely different area of the world—it’s great to get take a vicarious visit—you’ve really captured the expansiveness.:)
