It is my favorite in Philly. Just a few of my shots.

Great post-modern.
|
by far one of my most favorite buildings in the united states.
|
it would go nice with the Art Deco's of NYC
|
One of the nicest examples of tasteful postmodernism, anywhere.

I grew up in Pittsburgh and now reside in Exton, just outside Philly. I must say, I like THIS BNY Mellon Center more than the one at 500 Grant Street in the Steel City...
For a building that wasn't built that long ago (1990), this thing has a great deal of class and character! I like One BNY Center in the Burgh, but I think this one is more unique. |
I'd put one liberty place in front of this just because of sheer aesthetics, but it definitely helps put Philly high on the top tier of cities in the world in terms of beautiful, contextual architecture. (any eyesores above 300 feet?)

At least you don't have to look at four Brooklyners. :(

It looks good. I didn't know this building existed. It looks great at night. The only thing I am not a huge fan of is the way it gets wider right before the pyramid. I guess you would call that a shelf?

I believe the top is occupied by the Pyramid Club. Does anyone know if i can "visit" the club without being a member?
