^Vancouver's metro is just shy of 2.5 million. It's 2.75 million if you include the Fraser Valley.

I've been to:

Vancouver
Beijing
Montreal
London
Los Angeles
Paris
Calgary

I'm an idiot and included Seoul even though I was only at the airport.

I would like to see the Olympic Games in the ancient city, e.g. Rome.

LouisianaRush Sep 14, 2011 12:57 PM

London
Beijing
Athens
Atlanta
LA
Mexico City
Tokyo
Rome
Berlin
Paris

brickell Sep 14, 2011 5:24 PM

LA, Mexico, Atlanta, London

But besides driving by Memorial Stadium in LA, I can't remember actually seeing or doing anything related to Olympics in any of them though.

Kevin J Sep 14, 2011 9:23 PM

Los Angeles
London
Montreal
Sydney
Amsterdam
Rome
Paris
Stockholm

The only one where I've actually seen any of the Olympic venues in person is Montreal.

I color coded just to get an idea of to what extent the North America vs the World premise holds between SSP and SSC.

Top 10 for SSP (64):

1. Los Angeles (50)
2. Paris (34)
3. Rome + Atlanta (31)
4. London (30)
5. St Louis (26)
7. Vancouver (24)
8. Montreal (23)
9. Amsterdam (22)
10.Calgary (17)

Top 10 for SSC (69):

1. London (45)
2. Paris (39)
3. Amsterdam + Barcelona (28)
4. Los Angeles (27)
5. Berlin (26)
6. Sydney (24)
7. Rome (23)
8. Beijing + Atlanta + Munich + Melbourne (14)
9. Athens (12)
10.Tokyo (11)

conclusion: oh yeah, it holds..

I just went quickly through what Wikipedia had, so I don't expect it to be accurate

Wow, I've been to eleven. Plus a few not featured (although Lake placid is hardly even a village, let alone a city). I also have visited Oslo (Winter games site)

ChiSoxRox Sep 15, 2011 1:29 AM

St. Louis. That's it, unfortunately.

I passed through Salt Lake City on Amtrak when I was three, but do not recall anything so I'm not counting it.

MolsonExport Sep 15, 2011 2:18 AM

where is Oslo?

Ayreonaut Sep 15, 2011 2:28 AM

Hmm, apparently I forgot to add Munich when I voted (not in italics).

ltsmotorsport Sep 15, 2011 5:24 AM

Calgary

Salt Lake City
Squaw Valley

jodelli Sep 15, 2011 7:37 AM

I see London and Atlanta are closing in on 2nd place Paris. Vancouver is not too far behind either.

I could only fit 25 options, so I decided in favor of a North American Winter Olympic city since it's more likely to get more votes.

Oslo is however on the SSC poll (with only 4 votes as of now).

The Chemist Sep 15, 2011 10:51 AM

Calgary
Vancouver
Salt Lake City

The only one I've actually attended the Olympics at was Calgary, and the only other one I've visited Olympics venues in was Beijing.
