Superb shots Bulliver, amazing colours.
This one isn't up to the standard of the rest of this thread, but I thought I'd use this as an excuse to stop the thread falling off the bottom of the page: http://i570.photobucket.com/albums/s...doug/006-3.jpg |

Wow these are all great pictures. Some of them are really perfect. I wish that I would be such a good photographer but unfortunately I am not that good. I really enjoyed watching the pics.

nature shots from Israel

baby tortoise we found wandering in a garden http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4062/...98a824fb_o.jpg At the Hula Nature Reserve in northern Israel (which used to be a swamp, now drained for agriculture, which they now realize was an ecological mistake) they guesstimate a billion birds use the narrow Israeli flyway between the Mediterranean Sea and the Syrian desert to migrate between Europe, Asia and Africa. We saw them catching birds in netting to record and band them. This little birdie was in the process of being banded and sacrificed a few seconds of freedom to be photographed. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4049/...74784ec0_o.jpg a bee eater showing its irridescent wing feathers http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4002/...25168e7d_o.jpg catch a bee eater and flip it on its back, and it just lies there, seemingly not with any distress http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4024/...12587445_o.jpg |
