It's interesting how they built the wrap-around for the parking deck before the deck itself. I don't remember seeing that before, but it sure looks a lot nicer going up than a 5 story pre-cast deck sitting in the middle of an empty lot
|
I hadn't thought about that but you're right. Usually the hulking precast deck will appear first followed by the residential.

Like Yoo, Azure is also topped out

Pre-leasing has begun at Azure. I was skeptical but I like the way this has turned out.

Too bad it isn't condos... That would probably sell like hotcakes.

Thought you all would enjoy a progress shot of the 23rd floor Pool Deck. The pool will have a clear end facing Piedmont Park. The level below the pool is also an open air terrace with tenant amenities like grilling station, seating areas, etc. |

One of the sides of the terrace below the pool, showing the South corner "private" party area . This terrace level is connected to the pool level by two open staircases on either side of the pool plexiglass side (facing the Park). As on the Pool Level, the sides are 5'-0" high all glass railing. |
Wish it were condos, know others that were hoping so as well, great looking building, love the glass edged pool

Thank both of you for the positive comments! The Project has been a very exciting one for our small company. A lot goes into the development of a building of this size, and there are a lot of things that are dear to our hearts as architects and as people that fall by the wayside due to cost considerations, etc. Sometimes we know exactly how things could be better, and we have tried hard to do it that way, only to run into the reality of budgets... it is very refreshing that in this forum all of you seem to focus on admiring rather than tearing down. We are always open to suggestions and criticism, but we put a lot of ourselves into the process of creating the design and watching over construction, and a reading a good word every once in a while feels fantastic! Thank you all, very much.
