Moscow panorama 2008

I posted this panorama in Moscow thread along with close up shots but it may be worth showing it separately, particularly because that page takes a lot of time to load.

Wow never thought Moscow had such a high concentration of highrises. Imagine placing all of them in one large cluster?

tayser Jul 3, 2008 10:14 AM

nevermind the high-rises check out how many power stations there are!

Well that was a surprise. I didn't realize there were that many talls in Moscow either. Good to see a lot of green space too. Thanks for sharing your find anm.

Well, over 80% of them have been built in the last 5 years, many are still U/C in various stages, and even more are proposed/approved. The complexion of the skyline is changing very rapidly, and we have not had enough good pictures reflecting it yet.

It would be interesting to collect updates of this panorama taken every 6 months or so. Too bad we do not have a few of them dating several years back.

The International Business Center is the only saving grace for this city. It's full of far too many commie blocks.

Anyone have any pics of Moscow BEFORE the World War 1 ???

Amazing stuff. The clarity over huge distances is incredible in some of these.
