Now that's a collection - but my renderings look like shite.

ha ha -- FF, it was your CAPS LOCK that made me laugh.
|
Good ones. :)
|
LOL @ Flyers Fan. You are funny.
|
:previous:
yeah, those comments had me cracking up :haha: ...some of those renderings are over a year old. |
That's OK. I'll make up for the asstacular renderings with actual photographs. Which can in turn can be rendered by people with talent at such thing. I, obviously, am not one of those people.
Thank you for making me look foolish, FF. Comments like that are why volguus never smiles:( :) |
:previous: All we can do is try VZ :)
______________________________________ I put Comcast in this Photo from FF, however I can not make it appear that Liberty One is actually closer then Comcast...not in the forground. If anyone can make the Comcast actaully look like it is on Arch and not Market it would be greatly appreciated. Also, I know you can take ink drop to duplicate a cloud color but if I did that over the entire Comcast building it would change the color entirely!... There has to be a way give it a cloudy impression as the other buildings have. http://img93.imageshack.us/img93/992...complex2fw.jpg |
Those are Comcastic!
|
Not to be picky, William - and I'm not sure I want to claim it ;) - but actually this one was mine too:
http://img122.imageshack.us/img122/9389/litz3ep.png LostInTheZone probably does much better work than that! |
:previous: my bad....I changed it.
BTW: I like that rendering.:) |
|
Great job - williamphilapa -
Somebody had to do it - you da MAN!
Gia :notacrook: |

Amazing how much Comcast is going to change the skyline fro this point of view. It's shifting it away from Liberty Place, who once dominated and defined the skyline, and is turning them into seemingly irrelevant fixtures pushed off to the side. Nice work all of you! |

...I have Photoshop version 6. |

and anyway, i think your rendering looked good. the only one I think I posted was this, when I was trying to illustrate how comcast needs a less blunt top: http://img504.imageshack.us/img504/773/lessblunt6an.jpg great idea for a thread tho, this building sure was generating a lot of amateur renderings |
This thread is great. Even my crappy rendering that I made a year ago is in it. Good job!
|
I've posted at least 3 seperate renderings to the original comcast thread, and philly IV.
I feel so slighted! |
well I went back and found a few of them.
the shittastical renderings of the now defunct 1PP design: http://home.comcast.net/~sodanod/wsb...6/site1028.jpg :previous: Notice the pyramidal roof, the old version of 1441, and the imaginary skyscrapers I placed at 11th and market. http://home.comcast.net/~sodanod/wsb...6/site1037.jpg :previous: Another horrible rendering of 1PP, with the old versions of both RATR and 1441. and now for Comcast Center: http://home.comcast.net/~sodanod/wsb...6/site1084.JPG :previous: My favorite, based off a sasso photo, with CC, the Murano, and a blocked in Mandeville Place. http://home.comcast.net/~sodanod/wsb...6/site1085.jpg :previous: A rough sketch of CC from the north, heading southbound on I-95. http://home.comcast.net/~sodanod/wsb...6/site1099.jpg :previous: A sillhouette view including Mandeville, Murano, CC, the old RATR and the old 1441. |
Eigenwelt sorry I missed those...I ran through Comcast version 1.0 really fast. Those renderings are cool
BTW: I dig the 11th and Market skyscraper. Geez, I can wait to east market is built up. I hope I'm alive to see it:) Also, not many people have that angle going down South on I-95. I wish we had more photos of the skyline looking SW. There is one from NoLibs but that is extremely close. _______________________________________________________________ LITZ, I missed yours as well. I think I stopped going through the last 30 pages! That crown is sharp looking. |

in all honesty...i think the new comcast building is only a detriment to philly's already phabulous skyline.
and no, i'm not saying that because it's a tower that should have been in denver if it wasn't for basically stealing out corporation and relocating to philly. i just think philly had it great already and this isn't helping the skyline as i see it |
Awesome post -- the skyline will look amazing!
|
I enjoyed everyone of those renderings. Right down to the last drop. Thanks for setting this thread up William and all the artists out there.
|
that first photo on this page is bad ass! i love the definition of the outline and how the foreground subject compliments the skyline.
|
:previous: That is a wicked photo...props to volguus zildrohar.

came up with a little something. made this one from scratch. i'll probably touch it up some more but i got too tired to finish it

DUDE!!!!
Great job on collecting all the renderings in one spot like this. It’ll be easy to add them too as new renderings are completed. Thanks to everyone who has completed a rendering. I love looking at them. FF118, LOL!! You should number them so we can easily vote on them or compare accuracy when the building is complete. I think Sasso had a pretty cool one to, that was not actually a rendering but a basic red line sketching the approximate placement of the building before the construction started. I may have it somewhere if I look hard enough. I use that outline Sasso drew as a mental outline, and always thought how cool it would be to compare that outline to the completed tower. Again, nice work on the compilation. Tower, that is one of my favorite views. |
2up-
Hotdamn, that's good stuff Tower. Not too many clear southbound i-95 photos like that around. You can see that view totally blocks out IBX....meh, but who cares :) 1up- Thanks |
1)Trump Tower
2)All 5 WFS towers 3)Complete Sugar House Tower & Casino 4)Comcast Tower 5)1441 6)and Bridgeman's View Tower (which will block out Lib 2 in this angle) http://img111.imageshack.us/img111/7...pbowman5oy.jpg |

But thanks for the nod. |
:previous: I did a ol' copy & paste from one of your recent photo threads? The one were you were doing the thriller thing in the grave yards :)
I changed the name under the photos. |
I think Comcast is great for the Philly skyline. Not just because of its height but because the current tallest are right next to each other, Comcast will give the skyline another vocal point so to speak, giving the skyline more depth.
|
volguus, you crazy.
i think drew means this one (from april '05)? here's one i did a couple weeks ago: |
Good stuff Gio...I dig that Schuylkill reflection
