You should have posted these plans in your other thread, and waited to make this when the ground gets moving [if it even goes through].

Here is another news story on the development: http://www.wyff4.com/news/17460483/detail.html

There is already a Greenville, SC Development Thread. Posts like this should be within that thread; no need for a new one. Thanks!

g-man435 Sep 13, 2008 4:07 PM

People posts new threads all of the time for developments in their city even if that city already has a development news thread. Don't see what's wrong with me doing the same. :) I'm not doing anything to you guys or going on your sub-forum and bugging you like I used to so quit hating. Most developments will be posted in the Greenville, SC development news thread, but one of this magnitude needs its own in my opinion.

I thought you said "highrises."

Other than that, looks like a nice project. More density for Greenville's downtown!

They are highrises. How are they not? Sorry, I don't live in Charlotte where you get 40+ story buildings built. Anything here over 10 stories tall is considered a highrise in my book. At least I didn't call them towers like the newspaper did. :haha:

Looks like a dandy project, and a plus for downtown.

...but you will. Greenville is exploding and it's only a matter of time before they get a new tallest. As long as the suburban office park office space doesn't eclipse what downtown is capable of. I think Greenville has done it right, they've made downtown so attractive that it is a draw all by itself.

Here is one of the many reasons we won't: South Carolina's largest bank is building a new headquarters out in the suburbs consisting of thirteen 4-5 story buildings instead of a new signature skyscraper downtown. :yuck:

Signs for Washington Square just like this one posted below have been put up all around the site including in the windows of the woolworth building along Main Street. This will help visitors know there is a new project in the works for the site:
