another thing about Hoss' 1935 aerial.
I couldn't help but notice all the worn paths people had made while taking shortcuts through the numerous empty lots. https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/1...923/pMSp5R.jpg That is what I'm seeing, right? (foot paths) https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/1...924/teXM0O.jpg A closer view of some other paths in the vicinity. https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/1...923/GQqgRI.jpg I'm going to be really embarrassed if these lines are something other than paths and shortcuts. One more thing: The shortcut that brought my attention to all the others is the path [shown below] near the accident bridge in the pic Hoss posted yesterday https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/1...921/Cc29zW.jpg You can download the complete aerial at mil.library.ucsb.edu (thanks Hoss) |
Wait! There's one more.
A car path around the erosion. https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/1...924/CvWyKN.jpg See it? I was bored so I labeled everything. |
Hmmmmmm . . .

From my first post on Bobbie Gentry Quote:
https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/1...922/J99fQf.jpg 333sound "6/29/62 -HOLLYWOOD: Cheryl Crane [R], the daughter of actress Lana Turner, begins her first job as a fashion model at a nightclub on Sunset Blvd. Cheryl is with models Diane Lewis and Bobbie Gentry before the opening of the Friday event cocktail fashion show." https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/1...924/vrZ0aB.jpg Hmmmm....but what club on Sunset? Does the place look familiar to anyone? "It’s a truly remarkable photo, not only because it is a rare bit of visual evidence of Gentry’s early years gigging in Los Angeles, but because of why it was taken. This photo wasn’t snapped because Bobbie Gentry looked good in a two-piece, though she certainly did. The only reason the photo exists is because of the smiling girl in the center. from 333sound BUT THIS IS WRONG. THE WIRE INFO. SAYS CHERYL IS ON THE RIGHT _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I found a second pic. BLURRY: from a tiny pic https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/1...921/deGEf1.jpg bobbiegentry/org "Bobbie Gentry modelling swimsuits in the early 60’s on Sunset Blvd with Lana Turner’s daughter Cheryl Crane (far right)" FROM bobbiegentry/org.uk WTF. THIS WEBSITE ALSO SAYS THE GIRL ON THE RIGHT IS CHERYL CRANE. OK, now I'm confused. [see below] https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/1...921/O1tjIZ.jpg pinterest[/url] "Cheryl Crane- Lana Turner’s daughter c.1960’s" from pinterest THIS MATCHES THE PRESS INTERNATIONAL TELE-DESCRIPTION AT THE TOP Will the real Cheryl Crain please stab...lol...I was thinking about the stompanato incident)....please stand up. __ for nla newcomers: Stompanato Incident |

OK, I spy a '63 T-Bird, a '65 Corvair Corsa, a '68 Olds Cutlass (maybe); but what's the car we can see only the rear of at the far end of the row? And the tantalizing tail in the foreground? I know somebody knows. |
:previous:
That car at the end is a tough one...I see everything from pre-54 GM to Nash to who knows what. It appears tall... and it looks like there's another car behind it.... Anyway, the Olds at center is a '65.... |
:previous:
I think the car at the rear could be a mid '60s Volvo 122 sedan. As for the car in the foreground, I can't even decide if that's the front or the rear that we see. |
