Thanks for sharing these!
Newburyport is probably the nicest of the Merrimack River cities, even if it's the smallest. As you mentioned, for historical reasons it's a lot more similar in built form and feel to Portsmouth (and Salem, IMO) than the bigger mill cities up the river. (I have an aunt and uncle in Byfield - lots of Plum Island summers in my childhood) |
Looks like a nice little city! I always enjoy seeing the many great communities throughout New England.

New England is so beautiful.

these are just great pics thanks!
yep small town urban and new englandy as it gets. |
I love Massachusetts and New England in General. Small unique historic towns, walk-able, 4 seasons, and I can go to dispensaries to boot. Wish my hick state would catch up.

Nice pictures. That first picture really does look like Portsmouth! I can see similarities throughout. And yes, Newburyport is plenty large enough to show on here.

My Mom used to rent a place on the Beach in Plum Island. I rode my bike there from Somerville. Once.

The category of these threads is "My City Photos'. Hey, if it's a city, it counts! No need for every thread to have a Burj Khalifa!
Thank you for sharing all these scenes. |
