Newark's looking good
|
I can never decide if I like Newark Penn Station or not. It's really saved by its functional, efficent layout, and the quality of its details, but, it almost feels like a 1980s PoMo interpretation of Art Deco. The main waiting room is excellent though.

there's a subway in Newark?
|
awesome photos of a mysterious city!
|
I just remember standing in line @ penn station as some dorky lookin dude asked literally every question possible to the guy behind the window while some tough guy in the line verbally threatened to beat his ass if he didnt hurry, guess this guy really needed to get to manhattan as he offered 50 bucks for the last seat too.

Thanks for the thread but you didnt show most of the city you just showed the CBD.

Wow a city that has alot of potential!
Anyway who was the president who got to Newark and started touring around until he realize that it wasn't NYC? Or is that not a true story? |

I like, thanks for sharing.

It has potential, and good to know that the rebound of Newark is still on a roll.

Any city in the shadow of New York falls under a shadow of coolness... Newark is no exception!
|
Always a pleasant surprise to see a Newark thread. One of the most comprehensive Newark downtown tours we've had here. Thanks for reminding us that NJ is more than malls and pine barrens.;) :D
|
Great stuff!

Impressive and lots of potential. Putting one or two glassy 40 floor buildings in that skyline would bump it up with all the supporting cast already in place.
|
cool
