The parking lot at Alamo Stadium looks like a good spot.

This is the best I can do with Google maps, but a good camera should get some nice shots.

Here are a couple from Trinity University right across the street.

From the Trinity tower.

Everyone I'm working on updating the skyline from all angles. Problem is the trees have drop leaves, and there is not a lot of color out there right. So day time shots I planning to wait till spring. I'm going to do some helicopter fly overs in the spring. I can do some night shots, so I'm hoping over the next two weeks during this Christmas break I will have some time to do some. Stay tuned!

^^ Awesome! Can't wait.

There's a Flickr group here where someone was asking about good skyline views. Someone replied and suggested the Willowbrook Drive view, and posted two of their photos of it.

One of those also suggested Rigsby Drive and a few other streets around there that have views of downtown.

Streetview:

Basically, you can jump on Google Earth and look for any street that terminates at downtown or that at least makes a beeline toward downtown and expect there will be a view.

Fredericksburg, Babcock, Bandera, Houston, East Commerce, West Commerce, Roosevelt, South Presa, South Flores, Nogalito, Frio City, West Martin, Buena Vista, San Pedro, McCullough, Broadway, Guadalupe. All of those streets have skyline views at some point. You can scope them out with Google Streetview and even add placemarkers so that you can visit them.

This is the view from Eisenhauer Park in Northwest San Antonio. There's a "deck tower" with a pretty good view.

And this is Comanche Lookout Park in northeast San Antonio off of Nacogdoches Road. Supposedly the park sits at the 4th highest point in Bexar County.

I grew up near there. Back in the day before it became a park, we called it Comanche Peak. It's a nice place for a short hike.

Just love how SA has such a distinctive skyline, with iconic buildings and landmarks! Just like Seattle has its Space Needle tower, San Francisco has its Golden Gate Bridge and TransAmerica building, Las Vegas has its distinctive skyline, and of course NYC with its unique skyline.

Love the iconic Tower of the Americas, the Tower Life Building, and the tall spires on the Alamodome, and now the iconic Frost Tower....

Just stunning with the night lights...

Happy New Year to all:cheers:

From certain angles, there really are two distinct halves to San Antonio's skyline.
This is from mid-2018.

This one from KENS is dark but the sunset is nice:

Alfredo Mora's from almost the exact same spot 200 feet up has a better view of the buildings.

Awesome, Raul.

Unreal. That's beautiful. That really emphasizes how San Antonio's skyline has appeared much of the time, as a warm brick and terracotta faced city that mostly absorbed sunlight and glowed with it, to now having something that reflects it back and shines. I'm so used to seeing the former look that my eyes are having trouble believing what they're seeing. I think it looks great, of course, but that'll take some getting used to. As always, the Marriott Rivercenter and Tower Life Buildings look awesome there.

The Frost Tower does look photoshopped, it pops so much against the rest.

Great pic Raul.
