Hasselfelde is a city and municipality located in the district of Harz, and it's also part of the Verwaltungsgemeinschaft (Administrative Partnership) of Brocken-Hochharz. The city is situated along the River Hassel in a small valley. In 2002, the municipality of Trautenstein was added to Hasselfelde.
